Overview

This two-day, foundational training equips Health Center (HC) financial operations leaders with the essential knowledge and tools to effectively manage the fiscal and operational aspects of their organizations.  Participants will explore the history and structure of HC funding and learn to navigate key regulatory frameworks, such as the Section 330 grant.

Designed for both new and experienced professionals, this program aligns with NACHCs CFO competencies and professional development, helping participants assess and strengthen their financial leadership capabilities.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand HC financial management frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Develop systems for effective accounting, reporting, and internal controls.
  • Apply financial ratios and analysis to drive decision making
  • Utilize NACHC’s CFO competency framework for professional growth.

This training will focus on the following CFO Competencies:

  • Grant Compliance (Level 3)
  • Accounting and Finance Operations (Level 3)
  • Business Communication (Level 3)

Certified Continuing Education

This training will provide Continuing Education Unit (CEU) and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

The National Association of Community Health Centers, Inc. (NACHC) is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. By attending the Introduction to HC Finance by The National Association of Community Health Centers, Inc.
